Please note, this is a batch item so you may not receive the one pictured. The Danish Madsen M50 entered service in 1950 and was only replaced in the mid-1980s. (Used in many films such as the Godfather, Beneath the planet of the apes and many others, They were a simple and rugged weapon, notable for two things. One was the fact that the whole gun split in two parts lengthways for stripping. The other was that there was a built in bolt interrupter grip safety on the mag well that had to be depressed in order for the weapon to fire. Thousands of these weapons were supplied by the CIA to various freedom fighters around the globe in the 1950s and 60s and they can turn up literally anywhere in the world. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
