Deactivated Super Rare Nazi Grenatenwerfer 36 5cm Mortar. 1937 dated, in very good, original condition and complete with inert 5cm Mortar Bomb and Carrying Strap. Grenatenwerfer 36 entered service in 1937 and was in use until the end of the war. They were originally intended to be issued one per rifle platoon throughout the Wehrmacht but only 26,000 were ever produced. After 1941 they tended to just be issued to Fallschamjaeger units, as their light weight and manoeuvrability made them ideal for airborne operations. This is why they are often referred to as `Para Mortars
