Deactivated Soviet Mosin Nagant 7.62mm Sniper Rifle with original sling and scope covers. 1943 dated, matching numbers, Izhevsk production in excellent overall deactivated condition, with full working action and very good optics. The Mosin Nagant Sniper entered service in 1938 and soldiered on in the hands of special troops until the mid-1990s. They were a simple, robust design that could continue working in the harsh environments that Soviet troops often found themselves in. They had good accuracy and a crack shot would have no trouble hitting a man sized target at ranges out to 1500 metres. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
