Deactivated Rare Mauser G98 7.92mm Sniper Rifle in excellent overall deactivated condition, with full working action. Complete with an original Oigee Luxor 3 x Magnification, with a 1000 metre range drop reticule, double set triggers and correct quick detach, see through mounts. The Gewehr 98, abbreviated to G98 or Gew 98, was the standard German infantry rifle from 1898 to 1935. The Gewehr 98 saw service primarily in World War I, where it performed admirably. As with all contemporary bolt-action rifles of the period, it was a powerful and accurate weapon with long range. The action on the G98 was considered to be the bench mark for other bolt action rifles. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
