Deactivated Barrett M82A1 .50 BMG Calibre Anti Material Rifle, with moving cocking handle, trigger and safety and in excellent deactivated condition. The Barrett M82 first appeared in 1982, with the refined M82A1 following soon after in 1986. It was first used in combat during the first Gulf War in 1990 and this really put it on the map. It has an effective, accurate range of 1800 metres and can go clean through engine blocks and light armour at 800 metres. As well as human targets, it is often used to knock out all manner of enemy material, for example signal arrays and grounded aircraft and can cause a huge amount of damage in trained hands. It has been adopted by well over fifty armies and is in use with both regular and special forces worldwide. Please note that postage on this item will be £60. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
