Deactivated Israeli Dror MKII 7.92mm Light Machine Gun in very good condition, with full working parts. The Israeli Dror series started production in secret Hagenah workshops in 1946, before Israel was even created by the United Nations. It is based on the Johnson LMG, with the MKI more closely copying the original design and the MKII moving the magazine underneath the weapon and changing the calibre from .303 to 7.92mm, which became the Israeli standard rifle and Machine gun round during the War of Independence and thereafter. It fired from a closed bolt in semi automatic and an open bolt in full auto mode. It was replaced in official service in 1952 but could be found in rear echelon reserve units until the mid 1960s. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
