.
Deactivated CZ-38 9mm Kurz Pistol. In good overall condition with some storage pitting on the right hand side. The CZ-38 was introduced in 1937 as the replacement service pistol for the Czechoslovakian Army. It was unusual in that it was double action only. This was intended to simplify training and make the weapon safer to carry with a loaded chamber. The Nazis invaded in 1938 and took over production and most of the CZ-38s were issued to the Nazi Police and Security forces, with some going to the Luftwaffe as well. They were a reliable, well made design, but production ceased in 1945, as there were millions of surplus guns up for sale, following the war. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
