Deactivated Colt M1872 Revolver SN. 4062 *

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Deactivated Colt Model 1872 .38 Calibre Cartridge Conversion Revolver with original box. Italian reproduction in very good condition. The Colt Army Richards-Mason Cartridge Conversion Revolver was first introduced in 1872 and originally designed to fulfil army contracts. Because they had such a stockpile of old cap and ball parts, they started to market them to the general public in 1873, as a cheaper alternative to the brand new Peacemaker. They stopped selling them around the mid 1870s, but lots of gunsmiths made a living converting original guns themselves. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
