Deactivated Colt Detective Special .38 Special Revolver in very good deactivated condition. The Colt Detective Special was introduced in 1927 on the Colt ‘D’ frame and is one of the most widely carried snub nosed revolvers still to this day. This is the version with the shrouded barrel and larger, more comfortable grips that was introduced in 1973. All Colt revolvers are very well made with smooth actions and are very high quality. A good looking gun. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
