Deactivated Colt Confederate Buntline Revolver SN. 2328 -
Deactivated Colt Confederate Buntline .44 Calibre Revolver. Very Good deactivated condition, with a twenty four inch barrel and removable stock. The Colt 1851 revolver was first introduced in 1850 and remained in production until 1873. They were used extensively in the American Civil War and were issued to Confederate troops and made in Southern factories, using brass frames and simpler production methods. This was mainly due to poor supplies, lack of skilled workers and not having access to the new mass production methods employed by the Union. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
