Deactivated Colt 1776 - 1976 Bicentennial Commemorative Three Gun Set, consisting of A Colt Python .357 Magnum Revolver, a Colt M1873 Single Action Army .45 Calibre Revolver, and a Colt Third Model Dragoon .44 Calibre Percussion Revolver. The top drawer contains a Colt Python Revolver, SN. 1551PY, with a 6" ventilated rib barrel. The smooth rosewood factory grips have a pewter medallion of the Great Seal on the left panel. The left side of the barrel is engraved "1776 - U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL - 1976". The unfluted cylinder is engraved with the Liberty Bell along with the inscription "PROCLAIM LIBERTY - THROUGHOUT THE LAND", the White House with the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM ("Out of many, one", the motto of the USA) - WASHINGTON D.C." and the Statute of Liberty with the inscription "GIVE ME LIBERTY - OR GIVE ME DEATH". The second draw has a Colt Single Action Army Revolver, SN. 1551PM, with a 7½ inch barrel. The frame is case-hardened with a beautiful mix of blues, purples and straw. The smooth one-piece rosewood factory grips have a pewter medallion of the Great Seal of the United States on the left side. Colt has used only a minimal amount of embellishments on the gun. The left side of the barrel is also engraved "1776 - U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL - 1976". The cylinder is unfluted and adorned with the original thirteen states of the USA, along with the original, and current Stars and Stripes U.S. flag. The names of the original thirteen colonies are evenly spaced between the two flags. The last drawer houses a Colt Third Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver, SN. 1551DG, with a 7½ inch barrel. The cylinder is engraved with a crisp Texas Ranger and Indian battle scene. The frame, loading lever and hammer has the case-hardened colours Colt is rightly famous for, and the grip frame is hand tarnished silver plate. The smooth one-piece rosewood factory grips are once more decorated with a single pewter medallion of the Great Seal on the left side. The barrel is inscribed like the preceding two revolvers. The drawer also contains a Dragoon flask, a combination screwdriver and nipple wrench, brass round ball / conical ball mould and Colt marked percussion cap tin. All three revolvers are in excellent condition, and come in a mahogany, three draw case, finished in red velvet. A real Colt collectors dream! All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
