Rare Deactivated Browning MKII .303 Aircraft Gun. In excellent deactivated condition with British Military Stamps. This was used in a FN20 Tail Gunner Turret on a WWII British Lancaster Bomber. This particular one was salvaged from a downed bomber in Belgium and was the the left hand lower gun in the tail section. The M1919 Browning series of machine guns has been used all over the world, by more than 70 countries, and has been in service from 1919 until the present day. They are able to operate in any conditions and are very strong and reliable weapons. In the 1960s many were where converted to fire 7.62 NATO and these versions are still being used today, mainly on armoured fighting vehicles. Yet another classic from John Moses Browning. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
