Deactivated Bergmann Bayard M1910 9mm Largo Calibre Pistol in excellent, original deactivated condition and complete with correct leather holster (H7). The Bergmann Bayard M1910 was introduced in 1910 and was an update of the Bergmann 1903 for the Danish Army. There were two production batches, one from 1910 until 1914, and the second from 1922 until 1935. This example is from the second batch, as it has the later Bakelite grips and 1910/21 stamp. They were a very well made pistol that was smaller and lighter than its main competitor, the Broom Handle Mauser. They were also accurate and reliable but the cartridge was not as widely available as the Mauser 7.63mm round and production numbers were nowhere near as high as the Mausers. They were also used by the armies of Germany, Greece and Spain and were a popular private purchase item for European officers. A very rare gun. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
