Deactivated ILAW 84mm Light Anti Tank Weapon. In very good deactivated condition, with working cocking handle and safety. Complete with rare, original transit case. The rear sight and foresight are missing, hence price. The one shot, fire and forget ILAW or M136 Anti Tank Weapon was adopted by the US armed forces in the mid-1980s and was an adaption of the Swedish ST-4. The Swedes liked the changes so much, that they incorporated them into the design! The Brits adopted it for general front line service in 2003, but it was available to Special Forces since the first Gulf War. It has an effective range of 350 metres and fires a variety of 84mm munitions, including High Explosive Anti Tank, Anti Structure, High Penetration and Bunker Busting rounds. It has been adopted by over twenty countries all around the world and will be around for a long time to come. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
