.
Deactivated Rare Japanese Arisaka Type 44 6.5mm Carbine in very good deactivated condition. The Arisaka Type 44 Carbine entered service in 1912 and was used until the end of WWII. It was the standard issue cavalry carbine of the imperial Japanese forces and was used in Mongolia and China, as well as fighting the allies during WWII. It was also used by engineers and artillerymen, but some of the officers did not like them, as the folding bayonet precluded the issue of a samurai sword. Post !war testing showed that the Type 38 had one of the strongest actions of all the in service rifles at the time. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
