Deactivated Freedom Arms Model 83 .454 Casull Magnum Revolver in excellent deactivated condition and complete with leather holster. Although the .454 Casull round has been around since 1957, nobody made a production handgun for it until 1983. That was when Freedom Arms first offered their five shot Model 83 in this calibre. The .454 Casull cartridge can push a 250 grain bullet at nearly 2000 fps and generate 2000 ft-lbs of energy! That will kill a Grizzly Bear. The Model 83 is a semi custom gun, in that the main components are made on the latest CNC machines, but the final fit and finish is done by skilled craftsmen by hand. This is definitely the case with this gun and as soon as you pick it up and cock it, it feels like a hand made Swiss watch. Attention to detail is excellent and the pictures do not do it justice. An extremely rare and powerful pistol. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
