Deactivated Nazi 8cm Granatwerfer 34 Mortar. In good, original deactivated condition and complete with correct base plate and bipod. The Tube is BSU (Guettler & Comp., Maschinenfabrik) factory stamped, with a 43 date and the tube, baseplate, and bipod are covered in Nazi stamps. The Granatwerfer 34 entered service with the German Army in 1934 and was in use right on up to the end of the War, when production ceased. These were famous for their excellent accuracy and having a very high rate of fire. A fully trained, experienced crew could launch up to 25 shells a minute! It had a range of 2400 metres (the range could be extended by fitting up to three additional powder charges between the shell tailfins) and was capable of firing both high explosive and smoke shells.
