Deactivated 1853 Enfield Rifle SN. 1907 >

Availability: In stock

Quick Overview

Deactivated Euroarms 1853 Enfield .45 Calibre Rifle in excellent overall condition. The nipple area has some slight damage, hence price. This is a very high quality replica made from steel, brass and wood. The 1853 Enfield rifle and carbine were first issued in 1853, and served with the British until 1871, when it was replaced by the Martini action. They were also issued to all of the other Empire forces, as well as being bought by the Empire of Japan, the US Army, where they were the most common rifle used in the Civil War, and the Empire of Brazil. They had a practical range of 600 metres (400 metres for the carbine) and hit like a sledgehammer. A trained British Empire soldier could fire 3 aimed shots a minute, though veterans could manage 4 with ease. A true classic. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly.
