Deactivated Webley and Scott .455/ .476 Calibre Army Revolver. In very good, original deactivated condition The Webley and Scott Revolvers were first introduced in 1885, and stayed in production until the late 1960s. They had an excellent reputation as man stoppers and could put down a charging native or German with one shot. The quality of manufacture was also very good and their simple mechanisms stood up well to the mud and abuse they received in the trenches of WWI. Many can still be found in use to this day, especially in Asia and Africa and they are still a formidable weapon to be on the receiving end of. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
