Antique Enfield P53 3 Band Musket SN. 0021 “
Antique British Enfield Pattern 1853 .577 Calibre 3 Band Musket in fair cosmetic, very good mechanical condition. Tower lock plate with VR Crown, and British military stamps. An easy project. The 1853 Enfield rifle and carbine were first issued in 1853, and served with the British until 1871, when it was replaced by the Martini action. They were also issued to all of the other Empire forces, as well as being bought by the Empire of Japan, The US Army, where they were the most common rifle used in the Civil War, and the Empire of Brazil. They had a practical range of 600 metres (400 metres for the carbine) and hit like a sledgehammer. A trained British Empire soldier could fire 3 aimed shots a minute, though veterans could manage 4 with ease. A true classic. Antique firearm. No Licence required.
