Antique Cased Colt 1851 Navy Revolver

Genuine Rare Antique British Military Issue Colt 1851 Navy .36 Calibre Black Powder Revolver, with matching numbers. In good overall cosmetic, excellent mechanical condition, with very good bore. The “L” suffix serial Number makes it a later London gun, and puts its date of manufacture at 1856. This is a British military issue gun, as it has both UK proofs and the Enfield roundel on the grip. Complete in original case, with bullet mould, nipple key, powder flask percussion cap tin, and lead shot. The Colt 1851 Navy revolver was first introduced in 1861 and remained in production until 1873. They were used extensively in the American Civil War and were predominantly issued to Union troops. Captured examples were much sought after by the confederacy as their copies were of inferior quality. Antique weapon, no licence required.
