Anti Tank Fagot Guided Missile Rare in the UK, The 9K111 Fagot (Bassoon) is a Soviet Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM). Its development program was launched in 1966. It was the first Soviet second-generation ATGM. The Fagot was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1970. The Fagot (Фагот - bassoon) – NATO name: AT4 Spigot – entered service with the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact in 1970. Since then is has been adopted by over 35 other nations, including India, Finland, Greece, and Cuba. It can fire three rockets a minute at ranges of 2500 metres and the SACLOS wire-guided HEAT warhead can penetrate up to 40cm of rolled armour plate. This Missile is INERT.
