These sniper rifles had an effective range up to 1000 meters when used by a skilled sniper. Of all the wartime issue sniper rifles the Mausers were considered to be the most accurate. Lee Enfield MK V Jungle Carbine ** SN. 728Lee Enfield MK V Jungle Carbine ** SN. 728
Lee Enfield MK V .303 Jungle Carbine. 1942 dated Long Branch conversion and in very good condition, with sling. The Lee Enfield MKV Jungle Carbine came into British service in 1944 and, as its name implies, was intended for jungle warfare. The obvious differences were the shortening of the barrel, which required the addition of a flash hider and a large rubber recoil pad on the redesigned stock to help absorb the punishing recoil. The action was also lightened to help reduce weight. The result was probably the best looking Lee Enfield rifle ever made. They saw service in the Far East in WWII and in Malaysia, Borneo and Africa after the war. A lot is made of the fact that many had a wandering zero but at the ranges they were intended to be used at most of the time this was not an issue. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.

Lee Enfield No 4 MKI* ** SN. 477Lee Enfield No 4 MKI* ** SN. 477
Lee Enfield No 4 MKI* by Long Branch. 1943 dated Drill Purpose in good condition, with sling and action cover. First issued in 1941 the Lee Enfield number 4 rifle was the pinnacle of the combat bolt action rifle. It ironed out the (minor) problems of the SMLE and in the hands of British and Commonwealth forces it performed better than any other weapon in its class, both in WWII and well into this century. They can still be seen in India, the Gulf states and in Afghanistan and Africa. The Afghan Mujahedeen fighters favoured the Number 4 because they could sit well out of range of the soviet patrols and happily kill them at their leisure! Super tough, very accurate and with double the firepower of any of its rivals, this rifle was simply the best. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.

Old Spec M1 Garand 30/06 Calibre Rifle by Harrington and Richardson. In very good condition, with sling. The M1 Garand was the first semi-automatic rifle to be issued to armed forces of any nation. However, the M1 continued to be used in large numbers until 1963 and was a reserve weapon until 1966. They are utterly reliable, very, very accurate and very powerful. A real rifleman’s rifle and still a valued rifle to this day by shooters all over the world. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.

Soviet Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine ** SN. 012Soviet Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine ** SN. 012
Soviet Mosin Nagant 7.62mm M44 Carbine. 1946 dated, in excellent condition, with sling. The Nagant M1944 entered service in 1944 and differed from the earlier M38 in having a side folding bayonet. Recent documents claim that it was not intended for just second line troops and cavalry, but was intended to fully replace the standard length rifle, as it was considered too long for conventional modern warfare by the end of the Spanish Civil War, which the Soviets had been monitoring very closely. In fact the barrel is a full twenty inches long and by today’s standards would be considered quite normal. The Nagants were very tough weapons and could take a huge amount of abuse, like most Soviet weapons. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.

They were a simple, robust design that could continue working in the harsh environments that Soviet troops often found themselves in. They had good accuracy and a competent shot would have no trouble hitting a man sized target at ranges out to a 1000 metres. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
