Deactivated Rare MG FF 20mm Aircraft Cannon with matching numbers, weapon mount and 20mm round, and with full provenance. This was part of a Junkers JU88-A4, which was downed by 85 Squadron, RAF on 13th August 1942 and was recovered from Redward Farm, in Essex in 1992. The MG FF was a drum-fed, 20 mm aircraft cannon first issued in 1936 by Ikaria Werke of. It was an offshoot of the Oerlikon aircraft cannon. They saw use throughout the war and were used in Messerschmitt fighters, as well as bombers like the Dornier, Heinkel and Junkers. They could fire high explosive and incendiary rounds at 550 RPM, which were lethal to all allied aircraft of the time. A real piece of WWII history. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold London or Birmingham proof marks and a certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K
