Deactivated Colt Navy .36 Calibre Black Powder Revolver, with nickel plated, square backed trigger guard and backstrap. Italian reproduction in very good deactivated condition. The Colt 1851 Navy revolver was first introduced in 1850 and remained in production until 1873. They were used extensively in the American Civil War and were predominantly issued to Union troops. Captured examples were much sought after by the confederacy as their copies were of inferior quality. All deactivated weapons sold by D and B Militaria are deactivated in the United Kingdom and hold a London or Birmingham proof mark and certificate stating that the weapon has been deactivated correctly and is legal within the U.K.
